Element: Develop technical publications
  • Identify the requirement for technical publications
  • Determine the required medium, style and layout
  • Obtain or access relevant data
  • Identify potential problems and consult relevant experts involved in product engineering design and/or production
  • Determine resolution strategies
  • Draft the publication using relevant guidelines and specified or selected software package
  • Select required graphics and prepare illustrator briefs to meet requirements
  • Observe copyright legislation
  • Insert completed graphics into the draft and add annotations and/or labels
  • Prepare the draft for publication and submit for editorial review

Assessment Tasks
